This piece is currently being reworked. I plan to paint it a chameleon color that shifts from deep purple to fire red. Also, the LEDs do not work as well as I wanted them to so they have been disabled. This was an experiment in working with LEDs and I learned a lot, but they do not work for this piece.

Nike v1 is my first interpretation of the Winged Victory of Samothrace sculpture in the Louvre. As the goddess of strength, speed and victory, the sculpture of Nike amazes me in its depiction of power, grace and confidence.

The matte finish shown consists of several coats of epoxy filled with pearl white powdered mica. It is mounted on a heavy steel base in the stylized form of the prow of a warship
