Bintou Koné is a self-taught visual artist based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. She creates under the name Lagunes du Futur, an artistic project that interrogates colonial memory through digital collage.

With a degree in international cooperation and development, Bintou initially worked in multi-country public health project management before dedicating herself fully to her artistic practice. This experience informs her critical approach to colonial representations and their contemporary legacies.

Her work has been presented in group exhibitions in the United States (Around the World Festival, Sunnyvale; Autonomous Gallery, California), and in 2025, she completed her first major institutional commission for the Institut Français de Côte d'Ivoire's cultural season.
