"What Difference Does It Make?” is a self-portrait. I am a Caucasian female but I wanted to ask the viewer to see me as black, Asian, Indigenous, Hispanic, young, old, my natural self, and in the background-a pixelated multiracial. Our communities are made up of immigrants from across the world as well as the Indigenous people whom we almost wiped out. It is our history. It is my opinion that the members of our communities should not be judged on their appearance and that our diversity should be celebrated not diminished.
