The lines of mesquite trees have always attracted me and filled me with a sense of awe which always happens when I see natural beauty. I know they can be a blight on a farm or ranch but in a yard in a neighborhood they bring grace to the landscape, breaking up a developer’s grid that’s often square or rectangular.
