The Upstream series represents the challenges we all encounter and overcome. I incorporated my signature metal ball chain to represent both small and significant occurrences and everyday challenges. Interwoven and entangled like blend of classic swags, fashion, tangled jewelry and order, these textile wall pieces serves as both an homage to fiber art and a visual depiction of the complexity of life. My ultimate goal is to provoke viewers and encourage them to contemplate the richness and unpredictability of life.
