This piece was created from an earlier painting based on a rural farmstead we saw on the backroads of Custer County NE. I loved the warmth and life of the fall trees against the tumble down homestead. I feel sad to see places like this, but I hope by capturing them in paint, it helps to prolong the memory of families who once called this place home.
