My art studio is in our home at the foot of the Nebraska Sandhills. I began painting in 2012. I have studied painting with accomplished artists, both online and in person, each experience guiding me further on my art journey.
I love practicing and I consider every day in the studio another opportunity to learn. My exploration into color, texture, drawing, shapes and values has brought me to realize my best work comes from the simplest ideas and from painting what I know and love.
My paintings reside at the Museum of Nebraska Art, the Cloisters on the Platte Retreat Center, Nebraska Community Foundation Offices, and in many private homes in the region, across the United States and in foreign countries. My work is available at the Burkholder Project in Lincoln, Nebraska, Juniper Metal Works in Glenwood IA, and online via my website at bethcoleart.com. I also participate in a few events and juried summer shows, the schedule and listings can be found on my website.
