The artwork at Bilya Kard Boodja Lookout by Kylie Graham and Peter Farmer Junior celebrate the lookout’s unique environment and increase awareness of Noongar Whadjuk culture and heritage. The artwork depicts animals and their corresponding Noongar Whadjuk Seasons, in particular the Moorn Barndi (Black Bream) that is endemic to the Swan River and found no where else in the world.
The plaque describes the Whadjuk Noongar Seasons: Kambarang (Warming and Rain Decreasing October-November), Birak (The First Summer December-January), Bunnuru (The Second Summer February-March), Djeran (Cooler Weather April-May), Makuru (The First Rains June-July), Djilba (The Second Rains August-September).
