Inspired by the first flakes of snow fluttering through the brilliant blue, Upstate New York sky, this piece reflects my anticipation of the warmth of cocoa after the exhilaration of sledding or the rush of that first ski run of the year. Like all of my work, it is improvisational in design...I followed no pattern, but allowed the shapes to come together organically as the piece grew.
