One of my college teachers asked a class what we wanted to do with our lives. The only response I had, “To create,” came from such a deep place in me. The visual arts have allowed me the opportunity to create, make beauty, and hopefully inspire.
For a long time I have believed the creative process is important for the creating individual. Creating art can bring healing, a clearer view of ourselves, and give us a different perspective and problem solving skills that transfer into our everyday lives.
More than ever, I want to create. The reality is that each art piece takes on a life of its own, making its own way in the world, having its own impact we cannot fully realize until eternity.
