Sue is an established Louisiana water media artist. Sue studied fine art at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Louisiana Technical School Adult Art extension program. She has attended master workshops worldwide studying with many celebrated artists and teachers. Her work is hanging in multiple corporate spaces and many private collections.

Mrs. Boagni has appeared in the national magazine "American Artist" and in the charity art extravaganza "Palates and Pate" in 2007, 2008, 2009. She participated in the Acadiana Symphony painted instrument project in 2009. Sue contributed a painted sculpture of a fiddle for "Fiddle Mania Art & Music Event". She has displayed at the Big Easel River Ranch Art Festival for three consecutive years winning the honor of best painting in 2009, and and 2nd place in 2011. She was involved in the Baton Rouge fundraiser "Art Rocks With Louisiana Public Broadcasting". Sue was chosen as the celebrated artist for the official poster for the New Orleans Mac N Cheese Festival in 2018. In 2022 she was chosen to showcase her work in Opelousas for the Boxed Art Project.

Using acrylic and other water media on paper and canvas, Sue paints in an abstract figurative style. Women as subject matter are often a common theme, appearing in her artwork in various environments and settings. She uses layers of metaphor and symbolism to stimulate curiosity, provoke thought and encourage further inspection. Sue often uses, bold, clear, sometimes bright colors in her paintings, and her themes are usually joyful in nature.
