Ok, this quote is really about Plum Blossoms, but it seemed quite fitting for these brave little crocus pushing out their beauty before any of the other flowers dare each spring.

Common crocus is a genus in the Iridaceae (iris) family. Did you know Crocus is the middle English word for “saffron plant,” as saffron comes from the dried stigmas of Crocus sativus.
