This was painted during a live painting event at a winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley. We were situated outdoors on a patio overlooking the vineyard and distant hills. Unfortunately, the spring day was blustery, rainy and cold and the crowd was sparse. Those who came out seemed warmed by the wine -- and company. As always, the painting inevitably reflected my sense of the "mood in the room" especially as the afternoon wound down.
