Palermo, Italy

This painting was inspired by a photo taken by my friend, Nancy Pegorlizzi, while she was traveling in Italy. Nancy posted many photos from her travels on Facebook and this one in particular spoke to me. I was struck by the way the buildings were framed in the window, their pastel colors and how the sunlight played across the hills and the clouds in the background. When I asked if I could paint this beautiful photo, Nancy she graciously agreed.

I am delighted to report Nancy is now a collector and this painting hangs in her home, reminding her of her travels and this very special moment in Palermo, Italy in 2023.
