Geometric abstraction evoking a rainbow that has been deconstructed. The artwork is an abstract composition featuring bold, curved shapes and vibrant colors. After hand cutting pieces of solid colored fabric, designing the composition, and sewing the pieces together I layered the quilt top with cotton batting and stitched many closely-spaced lines through the layers to add texture. This is called matchstick quilting.
