The storm has just pasted over and Lake Michigan and it is all churned up. The is peaking through between the clouds that are still dark colored on the bottom. The sun is starting to reflect again off the water and the waves are still breaking as they get closer to the shore. The storm chased all the beach goers home so it is quiet for now except for the sound of the waves. Some waves crash below me on the large rocks that I am sitting on. The entire piece is painted in oil color. The "alla prima" technique was used for this piece. This painting was juried into the "Art of Water" exhibit 2019, at the James May Art Gallery in Algoma, Wisconsin.
