Kyaw Soe, born in 1955 in Thakala, Bago Division, Myanmar, is a renowned Burmese painter known for his serene depictions of nature and rural life. Originally earning a degree in Zoology from the University of Mawlamyine in 1978, he later pursued his passion for art, studying under masters such as U Pow Thame, U Hla Han, and U Lun Gywe. His acrylic paintings often feature trees, forests, and figures in harmony with their surroundings, reflecting a deep sense of peace and connection to the natural world. Exhibiting widely across Myanmar and internationally, Kyaw Soe’s works are admired for their simplicity, warmth, and quiet spiritual beauty—capturing the essence of Myanmar’s landscape and the gentle rhythm of everyday life.
