Aung Si Thu Hlaing (born 1978 in Yangon, Myanmar) is a contemporary Burmese painter and art educator known for his serene landscapes and depictions of everyday life. He studied painting at the State School of Fine Arts and the University of Culture in Yangon, later earning a master’s degree in Art Education from Tokyo Gakugei University. His works—often in acrylic or oil—capture Myanmar’s natural beauty through soft light, balanced color, and calm composition. Aung Si Thu Hlaing has exhibited widely in Myanmar and abroad, earning recognition for his poetic reflections on the country’s culture and landscape.
