Ashleigh Walters sees beauty in the quirks and humanity of people in every station of life, and looks to capture that through the items they use and the places they visit.  She paints what she’s learned about thousands of people in her work as a journalist: what is exotic or unusual to one person is ordinary to another.  In this, Walters elevates objects and landscapes that tell a story.  

Artist Ashleigh Walters is a painter, maker, and manipulator of oddly-scaled objects who lives in Palm Beach County, Florida.  Having spent her professional career as both a television news journalist and artist, Ashleigh delights in the stories that can rise to importance from seemingly “ordinary” moments in time and place.  She welcomes you to find your own story in her work, to discover if it stirs your memory or emotion.

At the University of Colorado at Boulder, Ashleigh received a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting, a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast News Journalism, and a Minor in Business Administration.
