The piece is one of five sculptures pieces, in the "children" theme, placed at each of the four City Wards and chosen by the Public Art Committee in 2001. All related sculptures: Cherished Memories, Brittany, Galileo, Like Grandpa and New Adventures. Prior to 2007, the Public Art Committee was comprised of City Council Members.
