Terry Weldon has created an artwork that is as solid as a steel plate and as light and transparent as a reflection on water. The punctured and painted surface of the corten steel disc provides a visually kinetic experience that changes as the viewer moves around the sculpture.

"Rising Disc" describes a sun-like shape that appears to be rising from the horizon and suggests that the portion of the disc not seen is buried in the earth.
