Bobby Gulley

Bobby Gulley, born and raised in the small town of Elba, Alabama, spent many Saturdays during his teenage years watching Bob Ross, which sparked his love for painting. He eagerly looked forward to Saturdays to see what he would be painting that week. After watching Bob Ross numerous times, Bobby decided to buy art supplies and began painting regularly as a hobby. He soon fell in love with oil painting. Bobby signs his artwork with the name “Backbone,” a nickname his teammates gave him when he was the captain of his basketball team.
