Artist Statement: My current work is cyanotype-based prints on paper. Cyanotype is an alternative photographic process developed in 1842. It is one of the oldest photographic printing processes. Creating cyanotypes is magical. I print with collaged photo negatives on fabric. Each piece has an element of mystery, chance, and failure. The creation of each piece captivates me as much as the endwork. In this series, I am exploring how my experiences coupled with my family history made me who I am today.
