The Robert Burns Monument is a bronze image of Burns, attired in the costume typical of his times. It stands 6-1/2 feet high on a pedestal of Georgia gray granite 12-1/2 feet high. The statue was prepared by noted Scottish sculptor Henry S. Gamely and was donated to the city by Mary Gilchrist in 1929, widow of one of Wyoming's most colourful cattle-barons and a native of Ayrshire, Scotland.
