"The Wyoming State Capitol was designated a US National Landmark in 1987. The dome, covered in gold leaf, is one of only eleven state capitols to have this enhancement. It rises to 146 feet with a base measuring 50 feet, and can be seen from
all roads leading into the city.
Donated by The Family of Joseph and Mary Orr Meyer - Vince, Warren, Cory, Ethan and Devin, Joe, and five members of his immediate and extended families were employed by the state of Wyoming and collectively worked for nearly 60 years within the Capitol building - between 1963 and 2012"
