Collection: Josefina Temin
Josefina Temin is a Mexican artist who works on wood and paper sculptures. She believes that " paper has been one of the biggest findings and experiences of my life. It is a material which gives me the possibility of expressing myself with freedom and surprise, it became my second skin. It is a material to be worked in silence, intimate, female and ductile, noble warm at touch. On the other side, iron lets me work big pieces; it is manly, noble and ductile too. It is worked in big spaces, noisy with heavy tools and loud noise. Working with these materials, PAPER AND STEEL, I have achieved completeness in the handling of space, light, the feminine and the masculine."
