Print #2 from the "Harlequin Series" of ten prints based on Pablo Picasso's masterpiece "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon", now hanging in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The figure is either the sailor from Picasso's preliminary studies for the work or even Picasso himself.
The figure bears a striking resemblance to the central character in Wiszniewski's masterpiece "Small Holding" completed a year earlier and may even be a self-portrait. The work was created using sugarlift etching in the Hope Sufferance print studios in London.
Signed under image and numbered 7/30. Image is approx 12" x 4" on 24"x24" 350gsm Zerkoff paper.
