Print #1 from the "Harlequin Series" of ten prints based on Pablo Picasso's masterpiece "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon", now hanging in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The figure is supposed to be either the sailor from Picasso's preliminary studies for the work or even Picasso himself.
However, the head may be a self-portrait, bearing a striking resemblance to the artist himself. The work was created using sugarlift etching in the Hope Sufferance print studios in London.
Signed under image and numbered 7/30. Image is approx 10" x 8" on 24"x24" 350gsm Zerkoff paper.
