One of Clergue's most celebrated photographs from his series "Les Saltimbanques", this is an arresting image of a young ballet dancer amidst the rubble of Arles, still shattered a decade after the war. This was the work which opened the eyes of Picasso, Cocteau and others to photography as an artform and to Clergue as an artistic peer.
