A beautiful museum quality, carved in the round, white and russet jade figure of a recumbent horse. Shown resting its head on its extended front legs, with the hind legs tucked under the body. The mane is detailed behind small pointed ears, the tail tucked under between its back legs, The underside is also detailed with the tail and hoofs beautifully worked. With a fine even polish, the stone has a handful of typical charcoal inclusions, with a rectangular aperture going through the body.
