Fantastic image of jazz legend Chet Baker and Lili taken after a gig in Hollywood, California in 1955.
Baker (1929-1988) was an American jazz trumpeter and vocalist, known for his major innovations in cool jazz that led him to be nicknamed the “Prince of Cool”. His well-publicized drug habit also drove his notoriety and fame and he began using heroin just before this photograph was taken. At times, he pawned his instruments for money to maintain his drug habit.
