Fantastic photograph of sculptor Constantin Brancusi by Edward Steichen (1879-1973). Taken over a century ago in Paris in 1922. Steichen’s iconic image offers a glimpse into the work and workplace of one of the most iconic figures of the early 20th century.

Wielding a massive stone axe, Brancusi is standing on and smoothing "The Endless Column", with "Cup" to the right, while his gleaming "Bird in Space" soars behind.

This is a genuine vintage photogravure, printed in 1961 and has the fantastic warmth and tonal range of a platinum print. Archivally mounted on 100% acid-free board, matted to 11" x 14" and in a black wooden frame.
