Tibor Honty (1907–1968) was a prominent Slovak-born photographer and a leading figure in Czech humanist photography. Initially trained in ceramics, he transitioned to photography in the 1930s, joining the influential Manes Association of Fine Artists. He is best known for his poignant documentation of the liberation of Prague in 1945 and his masterful still lifes of sculptures. His work elegantly captures the intersection of monumental form and the fleeting, vulnerable moments of everyday human life.
