Michael Wolgensinger, born in 1913, was a prominent Swiss photographer and filmmaker whose career was significantly influenced by Bauhaus aesthetics and figures like Hans Finsler. His work spans both black-and-white and color photography, as well as experimental films. Wolgensinger’s photography is known for its technical precision and emotional warmth, often reflecting the principles of the Swiss Werkbund. He was active in various artistic domains, including reportage and book illustrations, showcasing a versatile and humanistic approach throughout his career.
