Yousuf Karsh (1908-2002) was a Canadian photographer of Armenian heritage, renowned for his iconic portraits of influential figures. Escaping the Armenian Genocide, he migrated to Canada in 1924, where he apprenticed under portraitist John Garo. Establishing his studio in Ottawa, Karsh captured the essence of numerous personalities, including Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein, and Picasso.
