Artist Biography: JOSEPH STEIN (American, b. 1940) is a contemporary photographer known for his alternative photographic processes. His adaptation of iconic images from the Twentieth Century's most memorable events, as fixed in the process of the cyanotype, has resulted in a photographic oeuvre shown in such prestigious museums as the Corcoran Musuem of American Art (Washington, D.C.); the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LA, CA); the Museum of Photographic Arts, San Diego (SD, CA); and the Museum of Modern Art.
