Monarch butterflies are one of my favourite insects and apparently they are making a comeback. This one visited my garden in Ontario and I'm so glad I had my camera handy. The resulting explosion of orange on a pink geranium was breathtaking. Painting this over the cold winter months made that summer day come alive again for me.
