BOUYS, 44x82cm, Acrylic on board Prague 2021,# 8015
I painted small BOUYS in the past (back home, while at the Cape) but never with my texture technique you see here.... And never with much thought or meaning behind them (other than painting my surroundings at the time).
Recently though, I remembered how badly I wanted to take real (found) BOUYS back to Prague with me--but they were just too big to fit in my suitcase! 😂 When I decided to paint some, I guess it was my way of surrounding myself with more nautical images... other than my sailboats... 🌊⛵⚓
