Are You Low? holds the question I’ve asked my husband countless times. Before new technology, he tested his blood up to twenty times a day — each strip a tiny record of survival. I kept them for years, waiting for the right moment to turn them into art. Now they live inside candy-colored resin “lollipops,” cradled by cast iron hands. Sweetness and fear, love and vigilance — all held in balance.
