The Brick Project - is an installation which was first shown at the Bloomsbury Design Gallery in London. It can be commissioned by a gallery or exhibition venue and will be tailored to the space available (dimension and volume). It explores our 'fragile nature' and psycho-social issues of our society. The glass bricks are a metaphor and reminder of our fragile nature - they look like any other brick but of course are a lot less robust. They have been created with a pate de verre technique - involving plaster models filled with a paste of small glass particles (frit) that then get fused together at a high temperature. They result in lovely textured and delicate sculptures. All glass sculptures are hand made and therefore one of a kind.
