These past months I have made a conscious shift to exploring more form in my work - the presence and interaction of shapes. I created various smaller studies recently. I isolated the colour from the so called background and got a real feel for the quality of colour and form in abstract painting. This is interesting for me as an abstract art tutor as well, through these questions and studies I continuously broaden my vocabulary of abstract painting. These are fascinating discussions in class as well!
But as a collector you may have more of an interest in the experience of the painting. What it might add to your home or work space. Art transforms a space!
This painting brightens up the room, is light in character and has an uplifting effect. You can have it on the wall as it comes, unframed, or opt for a simple (my suggestion) tray frame - allowing a bit of space between the frame and the canvas.
