Fall is an explosion of bold color, a time of reflection, change, embrace our heritage, traditions, harvesting the fruits of our labors and sharing with others.
This first of it's kind small tapestry is framed by repurposed metal found at a thrift that supports intellectual & developmental community. After removing broken pieces & sharp metal points, it received a makeover with freshly painted accent leaves. Tapestry was created within the metal frame (first time I created on like this). Bold colors highlights the frame, the landscape created by a variety of vintage repurposed fibers adds to the appeal.
Background of unique yarns include multiple wools and mohairs, angora/silk, linen, fur, popcorn chenille, ladder string, delicate chenille, flag string, cotton, delicate eyelash and specialty yarns.
A surprise jewelry find makes this a special edition.
A truly one of a kind fiber art tapestry.

One of a kind artisan made from repurposed vintage fibers and found jewelry treasures from a local thrift that enhances the lives of those with intellectual and developmental challenges to thrive and live their best lives. Each tapestry is designed and created to showcase pieces of jewelry, colors and textures of these sometimes irreplaceable fibers that can include linen, cotton, soft feather, string, one of a kind fibers, chenille, anything I can salvage or find discarded. You just never know what I will piece into a tapestry.
Art you can collect, fits in most any space.
