Since she was a child, Anne Wölk has loved and collected science fiction books and films. "Le Voyage dans la Lune" is the original title of the French science fiction film "The Journey to the Moon" by Georges Méliès from 1902. Based on Jules Verne's novel "From the Earth to the Moon," the 13-minute film documents a rocket's flight that hits the moon's eye.
Visionary stories inspired many space pioneers. The moon is just having a comeback with NASA's newly planned Artemis mission. The last person on Earth's satellite was Eugene Cernan with the Apollo 17 mission. A moon landing is planned for 2024. NASA wants to bring astronauts to the moon again for the first time with huge SLS rockets and an Orion space capsule. Soon they want to be permanently present to prepare flights to Mars, with a space station in the lunar orbit, with a shuttle service from there to the lunar surface.
