Finally got around to painting this little lemur who posed so nicely for me some years ago at Auckland Zoo. Wish it had been taken in the wild in Madagascar! I love the eye contact and that tail wrapped over his back like a scarf is just too adorable! My process went through some seriously ugly stages, and I nearly ditched it. However I persevered and lost most of the cool marks that I had started with, but it wasn't working so I just kept on until it did work for me! Haha, it didn't end up like I had planned, but that's one of the things I love about this loose, expressionistic style, it's very unexpected!
