This piece is part of my Nirvana series and continues my exploration of texture, line work, and layered glass elements. The fused glass panel is mounted on a hand-painted wood surface finished in gold with black sides, and I extended portions of the design beyond the glass onto the panel itself to create a stronger sense of movement and connection.
Where Light Continues is built from many individually arranged and kiln-fired components, along with detailed pen work and dimensional elements that shift as the light changes throughout the day. The combination of glass, texture, and painted surface gives the piece a lot of depth without overwhelming the space around it.
This artwork is designed to feel modern, calm, and visually engaging from both a distance and up close.
The fused glass artwork is mounted to a deep, 18"x24"x2" wood panel painted gold on the face and black on the sides and is wired and ready to hang. I also added my signature glass “Tattoo” to the side of the panel. The tattoo design mimics the design on the front of the panel.
