The Space Between Notes is a textured fused glass piece that explores rhythm, movement, and contrast through layered line work and dimensional glass elements. Strong blue tones move against warmer orange and red areas, creating a composition that feels structured but still loose and improvisational.

I approached this piece almost like a visual conversation between line, color, and space. The sweeping black and white marks create movement across the surface while the raised glass details add texture and depth. There’s a musical quality to the composition that inspired the title — not the notes themselves, but the pauses and transitions between them.

This piece is mounted on a 12" x 6" x 2" panel and is ready to display.

I added my signature glass "tattoo" design on the whitewashed side of the panel which mimics the front and adds interest.
