This block is part of my Glasscapes collection. "Strata" was created by painting with enamels on glass then fired in my kiln. An "earthy" colored background creates interest, but the star of the show is the transparent amber glass placed on edge with brilliant gold along the top. The background design is layered with multiple complementary colored glass pieces for texture. I really love the way this one came out.

The block is 4"x4"x2" with whitewashed sides. An added small side "tattoo" mimics the design on the front of the block. Sit this piece on a desk, shelf or mantle, or hang it on the wall for a unique display.
