Based on the painting "Silk Scarf" (#2009-01) and "Annie's Cello" (#2009-05), the images of my original oil paintings were transferred to fabric and fabric transferred to canvas using a water soluble, non-toxic water based medium (Aquavar) that dries clear and holds the shape of the sculpture.
I like to expand the format and composition. The image is transferred to fabric or paper (Out-sourced) and shaped into a 3D "painting." My 2D paintings are typically CoLorFields so they make lovely fabric designs. The patterns are not what would be found in a traditional fabric store (that's why they are special). I am a bit of a drama queen with bold jewel toned colors.
