Inspired by Gustav Klimt, an artist i admired earlier in my career, i believe i was standing in front of a mirror and sketching myself, although i exaggerated my form quite a bit for dramatic effect. Now in later years i have in fact "filled out" in the hips etc., so this might have been a prophetic portrait? i left my face off completely to keep it anonymous, so that i could plausibly deny that it was a self portrait.
