Dedicated to Wendy Knox Artistic Director of the Frank Theater for her brave and daring plays that take risks and make us laugh. I also want to honor Pillsbury House, Penumbra Theatre, Mixed Blood and the formidable Guthrie which has endured.
I love to go to plays and in the past 2 years have been able to go to many plays. Having drawn in the dark for years recording Flamenco Dance it was an easy transistion to draw plays in the moment as the action unfolded. It's not easy but  I really enjoy it and later paint in my drawings, scan them and send them off to share with the actors and directors.

Dedicated to this beautiful Mexican plant with an ancient history that self seeds.
For years beautiful Amaranth has self seeded and grown in my back yard. By summers end it is a forest of these Majestic Red Plumed Plants. I cherish these plants and let them grow where they wish.

Dedicated my enduring parents Emily and Jim who gave me so much and for the privilege of caring for them through the end of their life to death.
This series of drawings is about Caregiving and how I let the moment and let "LIFE TELL THE STORY" These drawings are about how I drew my way through caregiving my family. These moments include time at home, numerous doctor appointments and other moments when I cared for them.

As part of my long ongoing and extended Documentary Drawings is this series of drawings done of an MRI I had in October 2025. I drew the technical and emotional aspects of the procedure and included my visit to the local farmers market after my MRI.

Dedicated to the amazing, caring, compassionate Staff at HENNEPIN HEALTHCARE who helped my family navigate difficult medical and psychological moments. I was blessed to be able to get a closer look and enter into the heart and soul of the hospital.
These drawings are a Selection from the 160 documentary drawings I did at Hennepin Healthcare from March 2018 to June 2019 to show the arc, pathos, professional care and compassion in the everyday complex life of the hospital.

This series of drawings bears witness to how my late husband Josh gave of his big heart to volunteer at the Minnehaha Food Shelf, despite huge health challenges. His efforts continue to inspire as the need for food remains great.

Dedicated to my late parents Emily and Jim White who I was priviledged to care for through their later years until they died.
This series of drawings was done from about 2009 through 2012. Those last years were tough, but I hung in their with them and the time was precious. At times it was so difficult I just had to make it funny! All along the way I felt the richness of their lives and gratitude for all they gave me.

This suite of drawings starts in the waiting room at HCMC ( Hennepin Healthcare) where compassionate time waits with those who have various afflictions. I sit with my pen and draw, remebering other times that were more intense. 

Dedicated to the immigrants who are challenged and arrested by ICE and who struggle to navigate culture, language and a court system for their freedom
For the past few years I have had the privilege of drawing in IMMIGRATION COURT as a way to do visual observations for the ADVOCATES of HUMAN RIGHTS. It is a very emotional experience to see how vulnerable people are who navigate culture, court and language.  Now with the new administration there is a new level of fear as ICE arrests take place on the premises. I witnessed 2 ICE arrests and drew them afterwards.

Dedicated to the imaginative power of art and its ability to make what is heavy light and what is challenging whimsical and funny. And most of all to make things bearable.
When my late husband and I faced his increasing medical challenges I started to feel very overwhelmed. One snowy winter day I turned onto Hwy 55 headed to the hospital. As I drove on icy roads I thought:"I am a Mountain Goat! I can hand on with Tenacity! I can even hang Upside Down! Once again an inner Artistic Image held me and carried me through a difficult time for the next 6 weeks.

Dedicated to walking the challenging Grief Journey after the loss of a loved one.
This is a very personal suite of drawings done after my late husband Josh died. Having drawn through all of his medical crisis and challenges I once again turned to drawing in order to navigate the uncertain terrain of grief. I drew many aspects of grief. Marking time, the After Life of Objects and the loss of daily routines. There are over 300 drawings done over 5 years. I trust these drawings speak to those in mourning and that they bring solace of some kind.

Dedicated to the beauty, power and passion of flamenco dance and to our local dance troupe ZORONGO FLAMENCO DANCE THEATRE and Susana di Palma who has inspired and directed countless performances.
Once upon a time long long ago I went to Spain in 1969. The atmosphere of the country remained with me and was part of my passion for Flamenco that was ignited in the 1980's and has remained with me. I feel fortunate to have drawn our local company ZORONGO FLAMENCO DANCE THEATRE in a number of venues and complex productions inspired by Susana di Palma. The passion and duende of flamenco always inspire vivid drawings and paintings for me.

Dedicated to drawing and painting the beauty of flowers.
Drawing and painting flowers is my happy place all year round. Even in winter I find the star gazer lily to be a constant and inspiring flower to draw and its evocative scent is mysterious and warming. I love all kinds of flowers: Lilacs, crocuses, tulips, and irises. Flowers of all kinds are an inspiration for me.
